Pelicans and Force Lifecycle Services have entered into a partnership agreement aimed at developing the Pelicans lunch restaurant equipment predictive maintenance program. Proactive maintenance aims, for example, to reduce the repair costs of restaurant equipment and to minimize interruptions in restaurant operations due to sudden equipment accidents.
Proactive maintenance extends equipment lifecycle, reduces waste and saves natural resources
- Predictive maintenance has long been a well-established practice in the industry, but the same principles can also be applied in the maintenance of machinery and equipment in restaurants and shops. Proactive maintenance extends the life cycle of equipment, reduces food waste and environmental impact. The operation of restaurants will be more predictable and controlled, says Jari Korhonen, Business Director of Force Life Cycle Services.
- Minimizing environmental impact is at the heart of Pelicans' operations and we are already the world's first and only carbon-neutral hockey team. Developing a proactive maintenance concept is one concrete step towards a more sustainable future, says Pelicans CEO Lauri Pöyhönen.
- Well-maintained equipment enhances food safety, requires less cleaning chemicals, which in turn reduces the release of harmful substances into the environment. Optimized use of resources, such as saving water and electricity, reduces the consumption of natural resources and the burden on the environment,” Pöyhönen continues.
